My mom says she feels most like herself when she’s out on the old family farm. She likes it so much that when my dad died she decided to pick up and move herself all the way out there – an hour outside of town! I don’t mind her being out in the country but this makes it a lot harder to keep tabs on her and make sure she’s okay. She hates talking on the telephone so that wasn’t really an option so I decided it was high time she learn how to use a computer. It’s been really nice having her able to communicate better and I worry about her a whole lot less now. I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal but just being out there is a big difference.
